Maecie Lyn...

Maecie Lyn was born Feb 20th @ 1:46pm
6lbs 6oz

This is mostly for my record....you don't need to read on if you don't want to...

Friday at my Dr appt Dr Hall agreed to induce me since I was two days over and almost dilated to a 3. He told us to be at the hospital by 7am the next morning.

Taylor and I got to the hosptial at 7. We filled out all the paper work and they got my IV, penicillin, and pit started by 8am. Dr hall came in at 8:30 and broke my water. That was not the most pleasant experience I have ever had. I didn't have hard contractions until about 11. They gave me staydol (not sure how to spell that) at about 11:30, that made me feel super wierd, I will never get that again. It didn't take any pain away. They checked me and i was at a 4 and 100% effaced so they called the anesthetist in and he place my epidural around 12:30. After the epidural was placed (took about 20 min) I was already an 8 when they checked me before they put the catheter in! I couldn't believe I had progressed that much in 20 min. My nurse went out to call Dr Hall and let him know and about 15 min later I felt and enormous amount of pressure and so I had them go get me the nurse. She came in and I was already a 10. and Dr Hall wasn't at the hospital yet. We waited about 15 min until her arrived and I only had to do about 8 sets of pushing and she was here. She was a serious screamer. She screamed for about 20 min.
Taylor always said he wanted her to be a boy, now that she is here he wouldn't trade her for anything. He is wrapped around her finger already. She is a beautiful little girl.
When she was born she had a heart murmur because her heart didn't close when she took her first breath. but by the time we left the hospital it had closed. She has to be seen my a pediatric orthopedic surgeon because her pinky toes turn into her other toes slightly. They think its all mucsle and not bone so hopefully she won't have to have any type of surgery. The orthopedic surgeon from Boise won't be here for 4-6 weeks. Hopefully that goes well.

Day 4 and day 5 of life slept through the night. She is a very content baby. But when she needs something she will definatly let you know! She loves to be talked to. She has to be on her side to sleep. She LOVES her bouncer.

Yesterday when we took her to the Dr they said everything looks good with her but she isn't gaining her weight back yet, so she has to go back in friday. She is down to 5lbs 15 oz.

I am sure i left out quite a few details but I do love her so much. Its amazing how much you love them. She has brought so much joy into our home. Life is different, but in a good way.

We are grateful for the support of our friends and family in welcoming little Maecie into the world. We are grateful for the cleaning and the meals and all the help we have and are continuing to recieve!

I just sit and stare at her in the miracle that she is. I know that her Grandpa Dean took good care of her in heaven and her is continuing to watch over her now. I wish he was here to share this new journey in life with Taylor and I, But I know that he is watching over us. And he sees this precious little spirit we brought into this world. Love you dad.

Just thought I would let you all know...

I'm still pregnant. Dangit.
I am almost to a 3, and my Dr. is gone this week. :(
I really thought this little girl would be making her appearance last week.
Sadly it didn't happen.

Taylor and I keep wondering:
Who is she going to look like?
Will she have her mother's ears? (lets hope not!!!)
What color of eyes will she have?
What day will she really come into this world?
What if they were wrong and she's really a boy?!?!?!

These are just a few of the things we wonder about and we will find these things out eventually. I'm hoping for sooner than later! :)

This weekend Shalay has been in Mexico so Taylor and I have been hanging out with Mitch, Lexie and Cole (the youngest 3 of my siblings). It has been fun to see them so much. They sure are growing up quick. The other night we were driving out to my house to pick up a few things (since I am staying at their house) and on the side of the road is a Raccoon, just sitting there hanging out. Next thing I know there is another raccoon in the middle of the road and i hit it. SERIOUSLY?!?! It tore part of the skirt off my Tahoe bumper but Coleson thought it was the funniest thing on earth. He laughed and laughed and if you bring it up at any time he will just start laughing. And when we were coming back the dang thing was gone. It must not have killed him if he wasn't still lying in the road. Crazy animal. That's the first animal I have ever hit. It made me sad. I felt better when we went back passed and he wasn't lying dead in the road.

The chair rail trim is up in the baby's room! I am so excited! Thanks Taylor and Scott. As soon as I get her room all decorated I will post some pictures. I am so excited to have it all finished. I ordered the letters for her wall last week so I am hoping they get here soon! I love how it's all looking. Her room will be much nicer than ours, but that's ok. I am enjoying spoiling her already! :) This could be a bad thing.

Anyway, just thought I would let you know...Still no baby...due date is 10 days away.
I will be so sad if I go over.

I am also bummed my Colts lost yesterday...

Getting quite large...

35 weeks 4 days...

and still growing. I feel HUGE and can't believe I am actually posting this picture.

We have weekly appointments now. CRAZY. I can't believe how fast it is going but I am so glad it's almost time for her to arrive. My body can tell it's almost time.

*She is still VERY active.
*She let's me know when she doesn't like how I am sitting/laying/standing ect.
*She gets the hiccups atleast 4 times a day, if not more.
*She gets super active when I hold my sweet nephew. I don't think she likes him sitting on her feet because she kicks him the whole time. But my belly is perfect for him to lay on. ;)
*She does NOT like it when my bladder is full :) Neither do I!!!

We can't wait for her to arrive. Taylor and I are getting very anxious for her to arrive.

Baby's Room...

I still don't have a camera cord so here are some pictures of the baby's room off of my phone.
I am getting so excited.
I love her crib and bedding.

Better view of her bedding

Crib and swing

Bassinet, stroller/carseat and dresser (and cute diaper cake Grandma, Shannon and Rachel made for my shower. It's too cute to take apart

Yesterday Taylor finally broke down and we got to paint her room!!! This is Taylor doing some painting.
We did chocolate brown around the whole bottom and the the top is Tan and just the wall her crib will be on the wall is pink (as below) We are putting up a trim to separate the two colors. It is looking good so far. Hopefully he will get the trim up today so i can post a picture of the finished project.
I'm really liking it! Thanks Taylor! She will definantly LOVE her room! I need to make her a Bow/accessories board to hang in her room. (that's what the cork board is for)

38 days until my due date! I can't believe it's coming so fast! We are so excited for her to get here.

People have been asking about what we are going to name her so I thought I would blog about it. I had a long list of super cute girl names, but Taylor shut most of them down and other family members wanted names I have been liking. But we decided to go with a different name.
We are thinking
Maecie

We are not sure on her middle name yet. It will either be Lyn or B. Taylor doesn't want her to have a middle name, but I want her to.
Taylor's Great grandma's name is Mae and it's also Shellie's middle name so that's why we chose the unusual spelling.
When she gets here we will decide if it fits her or not.

Baby update

On Dec. 23rd we had an ultrasound. Taylor was unable to make it so I went alone.

First off when I got there they didn't even take me back until 3:40pm and my appt was at 3:00.
Finally the Tech came and got me and she wasn't very friendly, she asked why I was there and what Dr. Hall was looking for in this ultrasound.
So she takes all the pictures she needs and then does the baby's measurements, pretty normal U/S visit up to this point. Then She turns the screen so I am not able to see much and she is pushing VERY hard on my stomach looking at "something", she was silent and making weird faces. Then she asked if I have been having any pain. I said "Well don't all pregnant women have pain?" No response back from the her. This went on for about 20-25 min. I asked if the baby had caught up and she said yes she is only 3 days behind now. Then she stopped doing the ultrasound and said "Don't wipe the gel off ,the Radiologist is going to have to look!" and she walks out of the room, leaving me terrified. I'm all alone, I have no idea whats going on, I cried a little thinking that something is seriously wrong with me or the baby. Finally after about 30 min she came back in and said "Ok you can go." So I started to get up and clean the gel off and I said "Well is everything ok?" She wouldn't look me in the eye, she kept cleaning things up and said "Your Dr. will call you with the results."
So here I am walking out of the Imaging center terrified and alone, Dr Hall's office is closed, Taylor won't answer the phone, I just started to bawl. People are calling me to see how the ultrasound went and I didn't even want answer the phone until I could talk to Taylor.
Taylor Finally called me back and we talked. I felt much better after telling him about my expirience. But we both figured that if something was seriously wrong the Imageing center would contact Dr. Hall and he would call me.
So over the holiday and weekend I lost much sleep and worried quite a bit. But I made it through the weekend. On Monday I wasn't going to wait for Dr. Hall to call me. At 8:45am I called him and he said that he had been at the office for 30 min and I was the 4th woman to call with concerns about thier ultrasound results. He said he was sorry that I worried all weekend but both the baby and I are fine, no need to worry. He said she caught up but he might change my due date from the 18th of Feb to the 27th....I'm thinking he should leave it the 18th!
Needless to say Monday night I slept like a rock!!!

I had an appt yesterday (29th) and Dr Hall went over what to do if I go into labor and told me I can't be more than an hour away from the hospital after Jan 10th. It's coming so quickly!

Since we couldn't find the camera cord Taylor ordered one so I could put up pictures of the baby's room, basement and Christmas. It came and it's the wrong cord. So Pictures will come sometime soon.

Scott and Shellie came over Saturday while Taylor was at work and helped me moved the office downstairs and Shellie helped me organize the closet and Scott put together the crib and my stroller/carseat. THANK YOU SCOTT AND SHELLIE!!! I feel so much better that is done! I love walked passed her room now and its not just full of boxes. Taylor says when we get back from the cabin we can get her room painted and I can't wait for that. I'm getting super excited! :) The basement is looking awesome too! We are almost finished. They are finishing the tile in the bathroom this week and then cabinets come next week and then all we have is to finish the outlets. It feels like we have a whole other house now that its almost complete! Pictures to come soon!!

I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. We are headed to the cabin for New Years. It will be good to just relax and have no worries. Hope you all have a Happy New year!
